A single-player Hollow Knight mod prototype. Hollow Knight is the host and remains a 2D side-scrolling game. The mod reads Steve's skin, Minecraft tool/block/heart textures, and selected sounds from the player's own Minecraft Java Edition install at runtime; none of those game assets are included here.
The current build includes the host hooks, Steve/player presentation, heart HUD, enemy drops, and placeable/breakable blocks. The mod does not edit Hollow Knight scene geometry. A block drop from scenery is considered only after the host's own Breakable marks a recognized base-game rock, weak wall, crystal, or boulder as broken. Only mod-placed blocks are removed by the mod's block-breaking feature.
This package is intended for Melty's Hollow Knight Modding API installation. It is not yet validated as a one-click Melty release. The companion path is read from STEVE_MINECRAFT_PATH when supplied by Melty; otherwise the prototype checks the standard %APPDATA%\\.minecraft location.
Compiled against the official Hollow Knight Modding API reference release. This is an untested prototype: it has not yet been launched in Hollow Knight, and the first-minute route, controls, runtime asset lookup, and Melty install recipe still need in-game verification. No Hollow Knight or Minecraft game files are included.
