RISK comes to Skyrim. Skyrim's 40 settlements become a RISK board, and every battle is one you fight yourself.
How it plays
Start at a war table. Stand at the war table in any of the nine hold capitals (Castle Dour, the Palace of the Kings, Dragonsreach, Understone Keep, Mistveil Keep and the other jarls' halls) and press F7. Pick which factions fight (Imperial Legion, Stormcloaks, Aldmeri Dominion, Forsworn) and lead any one of them. Until then SkyRisk changes nothing in your game.
The war map: the war table's own parchment map of Skyrim, with 40 cities, towns, villages, forts and Orc strongholds as territories, and the nine holds as continents that pay bonus armies.
One RISK turn per in-game day:Reinforce (trade card sets, station your armies), Attack (one march), Fortify (one move along a chain of your territories).
No dice for you: march on a settlement and fight there, with your soldiers at your side against its defenders, in waves of up to 8 a side until one army is spent. Win and the settlement flies your banner.
Rivals take their turns at dawn. Their battles are settled with RISK dice, and when they attack your land you get a defence battle to fight anywhere in Skyrim.
Territory cards and veterancy: win battles for cards, trade sets for escalating armies, and watch your soldiers rise from Recruits to Veterans to Elite in better vanilla gear.
RISK badges in the world over nearby settlements, quest-style markers to your battles, and a HUD you can switch off, in a condensed Skyrim-style font.
Win all 40 (or lose everything) and start a new war.
