WIP remix of SkyRisk: the RISK war with the adventure cut out. Lead your squad into every battle straight from the war table.
Work in progress. Tested on Skyrim SE 1.7.104. Some war-map buttons (Defend, Ride to the battle) are new and lightly tested.
Just the RISK. A remix of SkyRisk 0.1.0 by Lunger092 with the Skyrim adventure stripped away. You are an officer between a war table and the battlefield.
| | SkyRisk 0.1.0 | SkyRisk v0.1.6 (WIP) |
| Starting out | Play Skyrim as normal (Helgen, character creation, the main quest), then find a war table in a hold capital and press F7 | A new game skips Helgen, character creation and the main quest. You start as a ready-made, named officer at the Dragonsreach war table with the faction picker open | | Your gear | Whatever your character has | A fresh officer gets their side's soldier-grade gear on taking command (Legion, Stormcloak, Thalmor or Forsworn) | | Getting to a battle | Travel across Skyrim to the settlement yourself; defences give you 18 in-game hours to arrive | March, Defend or Ride to the battle on the war map takes you straight there. A few seconds to form up, then the waves meet | | After a battle | You're left at the battle site | You ride back to your war table a few seconds later, win, lose or withdraw | | If you die | Normal Skyrim death: reload a save, and the battle is lost | You can't die once enlisted. If you fall, your soldiers fight on, the RISK dice settle the battle from who is still standing, and you're carried back to the table and healed | | Your role | You fight every battle yourself | You lead a squad: your armies fight beside you and you're no stronger than a veteran of the line | | The rest of Skyrim | Untouched: quests, dragons and the open world all carry on | No main quest and no dragons. The world is there, but the war is the game |
Forty settlements in nine holds, Reinforce / Attack / Fortify each in-game day, card sets and veterancy, wave battles, the war map and HUD, and the Stormcloaks, Imperials, Thalmor and Forsworn all making their moves at dawn. All of that is Lunger092's work.
