DOOM and DOOM II, played as Serious Sam, with the Neighbor from Hello Neighbor hunting you through every level.
You get about ten seconds of ordinary DOOM. Then the Neighbor walks in where you started and comes for you.
The Neighbor
- He knows the whole level and takes the shortest way to you. He opens doors, and passes straight through the ones he can't open.
- Every monster he touches dies on the spot. He runs through them without slowing down.
- He can't be killed. Any hit from Sam's guns staggers him, and a heavy hit puts him on the floor for a few seconds. Then he gets up.
- Hold him down for too long and he stops caring about your bullets for a while.
- When he grabs you it costs 40 health and he throws you across the room. Two or three grabs and you're done.
- He learns your routes: bear traps and cameras appear on doorways you've used. A trap pins your legs for a moment. A camera that sees you makes him faster until you break it or get out of its sight.
Serious Sam
- His whole arsenal from the first second: knife, chainsaw, Schofield and double Schofields, pump shotgun, coach gun, Thompson, minigun, rocket launcher, grenade launcher, flamethrower, sniper rifle, lasergun and the cannon. All 14 are his real first-person models with their own animations and sounds.
- DOOM's weapon spots give ammo instead. DOOM's health, armor, ammo and backpacks become Sam's.
- Sam's HUD replaces the status bar, and Sam has a one-liner for most of what happens to him.
Good to know
- Single player. Works on every level of DOOM and DOOM II.
- Keys 1 to 8 pick weapons the way Serious Sam does (press again for the second gun in a slot). Hold fire with the grenade launcher and the cannon to throw harder. Alt-fire scopes the sniper rifle.
- Use your run key. He is faster than your walk and slower than your run.
You need DOOM + DOOM II, Serious Sam Classic: The Second Encounter and Hello Neighbor installed. Melty installs GZDoom, and before the first start it runs the mashup's setup, which reads Serious Sam and Hello Neighbor from your own installs (about 30 MB, takes a second). Nothing from any of the three games is in the download, and no game folder is changed.
DOOM and DOOM II are by id Software; Serious Sam: The Second Encounter by Croteam; Hello Neighbor by Dynamic Pixels and tinyBuild; GZDoom by the GZDoom team. A free fan mashup, not affiliated with them. Built with AI assistance. The setup program uses open-source Rust libraries (listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt).
