Ready or Not, played as a roguelike. The missions are the base game, unchanged. Now every arrest and every takedown earns XP, and each level up lets you pick one of four Brotato-style upgrades that change your officer's real stats.
How a run works
- Earn XP in any mission: suspect arrested +40, suspect neutralized +25, civilian secured +15.
- Level up: a panel shows 4 random upgrades. Press F1-F4 to take one. Common, Uncommon, Rare and Legendary picks; rarer ones unlock at higher levels.
- Build your officer: upgrades stack and change real stats:
- Damage: bonus damage on every hit you land on a suspect
- Fire Rate: less time between shots, on every gun you hold
- Max HP and HP Regen
- Move Speed
- Roguelike rules: your level and upgrades carry over from mission to mission, even after you quit the game, until your officer goes down. Then the run is over and you start again at level 1.
14 upgrades in v1.0, such as Hollow Points (+8% damage), Hot-Rodded Bolt (+25% fire rate, -5% damage) and Glass Cannon (+35% damage, -15 Max HP).
Good to know
- Single player.
- Bonus damage softens suspects up but never takes their last point of health; your next hit finishes the job.
- To reset a run by hand, delete
ReadyOrNot/Binaries/Win64/Mods/RoNRoguelike/run.save.
Credits
- Runs on UE4SS, which Melty installs for you.
- Inspired by Brotato's level-up shop (Blobfish). No Brotato content is used, and you don't need Brotato to play.
