Plants vs. Zombies, but the plants called in sick and the monkeys took the job.
Monkeys vs. Zombies plays the whole Plants vs. Zombies adventure with Bloons TD 6 towers on the lawn. Pick your monkeys, place them on the grass, and click one to open its upgrade panel, just like in BTD6.
What you get
- 25 monkey towers in place of the plants: Dart Monkey, Boomerang, Bomb Shooter, Tack Shooter, Ice, Glue, Sniper, Sub, Buccaneer, Ace, Heli Pilot, Mortar, Dartling Gunner, Wizard, Super Monkey, Ninja, Alchemist, Druid, Mermonkey, Banana Farm, Spike Factory, Village, Engineer, Beast Handler and Desperado.
- Three upgrade paths per tower, five tiers each (375 upgrades), with BTD6's crosspath rule: one path to tier 5, a second to tier 2.
- The towers' real 3D models, icons and sounds, read from your own copy of Bloons TD 6 and drawn on the PvZ lawn. Every upgrade changes how the monkey looks.
- Bananas instead of sun. Banana Farms grow them, Monkey Banks store what won't fit on the counter, and pops pay out on conveyor levels.
- Bloon-headed zombies. Zombies can wear red to ceramic bloons for heads, each as fast and as tough as its colour. Lead needs explosives, purple shrugs off magic, camo needs detection, fortified takes twice the beating. Gargantuars carry MOAB-class blimps.
- Dr. Zomboss is a BAD.
- Abilities and Paragons. Tier 4 and 5 abilities sit in the panel with a recharge bar; nine Paragons are unlocked with Crazy Dave's shop licences.
- Day, night, pool, fog and roof levels, with towers on Lily Pads and in Flower Pots, water monkeys in the pool and Villages that swat basketballs.
Single player.
What you need
- Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition and Bloons TD 6, both installed (Steam versions tested).
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
Nothing from either game is in the download. The first start takes a minute or two while the monkeys' art is built from your Bloons TD 6; after that it starts in seconds.

- This is a fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by PopCap/EA or Ninja Kiwi.
- Upgrade prices and numbers are tuned for the lawn, not copied from BTD6.
- Mini-games, Puzzle and Zen Garden are plain Plants vs. Zombies. The Beast Handler's beasts aren't drawn yet.
- Saves are separate from your Plants vs. Zombies save.
