Liberty Drift

Drift your CarX garage through Algonquin, GTA IV's Liberty City, streamed while you play from your own copy of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition. Nothing from either game is in the download.

The map: Algonquin from Castle Gardens in the south to the north edge of Middle Park: Star Junction, the Triangle, Chinatown, the Exchange, Middle Park and both shore highways. Red and white race barriers close every bridge, tunnel and road that leads off it.

Liberty City around you

• GTA IV's own parked cars in GTA IV's parking spots along the kerbs, in GTA IV's colours (they're solid, so mind the doors)
• CarX grip on GTA IV's asphalt, concrete, cobbles and grass
• 22 GTA IV radio stations in the car: . / , to change station, M for radio on or off
• N for night: GTA IV's street lights, traffic signals, lit windows and neon
• R respawns you on the last safe street; L switches back to the CarX track

Solo: Singleplayer > Training > any track. You start at Star Junction.

With friends: up to 16 players in a CarX online room on the Liberty Drift Downtown map from CarX's Steam Workshop. Everyone needs Liberty Drift, GTA IV and the Workshop map. Online rooms on other CarX maps are left untouched.

Join through the game: the host subscribes to the Liberty Drift Downtown map on CarX's Steam Workshop and creates an online room on it; friends open CarX's online room list and pick that room. Joining hasn't been tested with a second player yet, so tell us how it goes.

New in 0.3.0

• Fixed: cars fell through some roads (Middle Park and others). Every road in the map now has collision, checked at 23 points across Algonquin.
• Fixed: buildings partly invisible after CarX freed memory, and see-through window glass
• Parked GTA IV cars
• The map is now Algonquin up to Middle Park, closed off with race barriers

The first start takes a minute or two longer while the bundled mod loader (BepInEx 6) prepares itself.
