Command the country in HOI4's Europe, then drive a real World of Tanks tank into the battle yourself.
Command the country. Fight the battle.
Iron Front: Tank Wars joins your own Hearts of Iron IV and World of Tanks into one solo campaign. Both games must be installed — nothing from either game is bundled here. Melty hands the mashup both game folders when you press Play, and it reads everything it needs straight out of your copies.
From Hearts of Iron IV: the real province map of Europe, real state borders and starting ownership, country and state names, national flags, population and industry — all loaded live from your installation.
From World of Tanks: five real tanks — Panzer IV H, T-34, Renault G1, 40TP Habicha and Skoda T 25 — with their actual models, textures and crew illustrations, plus their real hit points, armour thickness, gun, ammunition, damage, penetration, reload time and speed, read from your own game files as you play.
Your first minute: pick Germany, Poland, France, Czechoslovakia or the Soviet Union. Click a neighbouring enemy state on the real HOI4 map, requisition one of the five tanks, and launch the offensive.
Then you drive it. The battle is yours to fight in 3D: advance to the border, use buildings as cover from incoming shells, watch your reload, and flank the defenders to punch through their thinner side armour. Destroy both defenders and hold the objective to take the state.
Every victory moves the real border on the HOI4 map and adds that state's industry to your war effort. Produce supply between offensives and capture three states to complete the operation — or keep pushing. Your campaign saves automatically.
Controls: W/S drive, A/D turn the hull, mouse aims the turret, left click or Space fires, right click zooms in, Esc pauses, F1 shows controls.
Single player. No online connection, no login, no setup — press Play once and you're in.
This is an original campaign and battle ruleset built on both games' installed content. It is not a replacement for the full HOI4 simulation or for online World of Tanks, and it does not modify or run either original game.
