People Playground's arsenal, unleashed on Dota 2. Dota Playground turns the real Dota map into a People Playground-style sandbox, played inside Dota 2. You start in the mid river; towers and fountains stay as scenery and don't shoot what you spawn.
When you press Play, it finds your own copy of People Playground through Steam and brings its spawn catalog into Dota: the real item icons, names and descriptions, and each weapon's own numbers (cartridge damage, impact force, fire rate, explosion range, shockwave strength).
What you can do
- Spawn anything: every Dota 2 hero (level 30, all spells), creeps, neutrals and Roshan, from a People Playground-style side menu.
- 98 People Playground items on Dota units: pistols to miniguns, Dynamite, C4, landmines, the Atom Bomb, an EMP, rocket launchers, swords, chainsaws, flamethrowers, and 14 syringes (Adrenaline, Acid, Freeze, Knockout, Life, Death, Zombie, Pink, Ultra Strength...), each with its own effect.
- Ragdoll knockback: explosions and heavy hits launch heroes into the air, flailing. Bodies stay down until you clear them.
- God hand or possession: you start as an invisible god hand. Possess any hero or creep to play it, and Release to go back.
- Sandbox tools: Freeze, Unfreeze, Heal, Delete, Clear Map, Slow Motion, and a team switch for new units.
Good to know
- Single player.
- Needs Dota 2. People Playground (Steam) brings the weapons, explosives and syringes. Without it you still get every Dota unit and the tools, and the game tells you what's missing.
- No game files are shipped: everything is read from your own installs.
Controls: pick something on the left, click the map or a unit to use it, right-click to put it away.
