What you get
Every hit rolls a d20. A natural 20 is a critical hit for double damage; a natural 1 misses. Enemies roll against your Armour Class too, and a miss becomes a glancing hit.
Your action skill casts BG3 spells. Press F to cast, Z / X to switch. Your starting spellbook has Fireball, Magic Missile, Misty Step, Thunderwave and Eldritch Blast, with BG3's own names, icons, dice, saving throws, attack rolls and sounds.
BG3 spell slots. You cast like a BG3 wizard, with more slots as you level. They refill on a long rest: fast travel or a New-U respawn.
BG3 loot drops. Guns, shields, class mods and relics can drop as real BG3 items (over a thousand weapons, armour pieces, rings and amulets). The item card shows their BG3 name, rarity and effects, and the effects work: enchantments, extra damage dice, Armour Class, resistances, advantage, crit immunity and the spells they grant.
Spell scrolls. Drops can be scrolls of about 160 BG3 spells. Pick one up and it's yours for good.
Quest items and companions' gear and powers never drop.
Works on any character, new or old, from level 1. Single player.
Good to know
Before the first start, Melty runs a one-time setup that reads BG3's spell and item data, English text, icons and sounds from your BG3 install. It takes about 15 seconds.
You can change how often BG3 items and scrolls drop in Mods > Dice & Spells.
