Left 4 Dead 2 × Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
Spawn on the rocky beach below Lost Coast's fishing village, pistol in hand, and push uphill toward the monastery — with the Left 4 Dead 2 crew at your side and the Director running the show. The world is Half-Life 2: Lost Coast's real map, and every special infected the Director sends is a Combine unit from Half-Life 2.
What's in it
- Lost Coast's real world, playable as a L4D2 campaign. The beach landing, the fishing village on the cliff, the docks and the monastery skyline — the actual
d2_lostcoast map with a full navigation mesh generated for the L4D2 AI.
- All six special infected become Combine: Smoker, Boomer, Spitter and Jockey as Metro Police; Hunter and Witch as Combine Soldiers; Charger as a Combine Prison Guard.
- The natural Director. No scripted spawns — L4D2's own AI Director populates the map, so every run is paced like a real campaign.
- Single-player with bot teammates.
Requirements
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast installed in Steam (found automatically)
- About 2 GB free in the Left 4 Dead 2 folder
Nothing is downloaded or uploaded: on first Play, setup builds the Half-Life 2 addon files from your own installed copies on your PC, installs the mode and navigation mesh, then starts the campaign. If Lost Coast isn't installed, setup says so and waits.
