The entire game is now playable in 3rd person, simply press B to enter or exit 3rd person view.
The crouch key now rolls and gives you I frames during the roll, and you can still crouch by holding in the key.
-The melee key has been replaced with a lock-on mechanic to make it play more like dark souls on controller.
-Several items and NPC'S from dark souls are added to the game. Such as the Estus Flask, Solaire, a bonfire that allows you to spend souls you earn to increase skills, crystal skags meant to replicate crystal lizards, and more!
-New "Classified" rarity items becomes available in the world once your Luck skill reaches max level.
-Difficulty is a given when it comes to souls games, and this one's no different. Bandits spawn with higher rarity weapons and have a higher accuracy, making them very dangerous. All enemies have much higher health pools, and some have unique features not previously in the game. Bosses have a phase 2 and unique abilities, making them resemble souls bosses more closely.
-You can fly! Ok not really, but you can get close. Pressing the lock-on key while in a car now causes it to launch in the air!
-Atmosphere! The world now feels much darker and hopeless, between the new crestfallen claptrap, the blood red sky, and rugged new character models, it feels like a completely different story than the original game.
-Ammo, money, quest items and health vials are all auto-collected now for your convenience!
Nothing from Dark Souls III ships with the mashup: it reads the names from your installed game. Your Borderlands saves aren't changed; everything lives only while the mashup runs.
Good to know
Single player. Steam must be running.
Needs Borderlands GOTY and Dark Souls III installed through Steam.
Melty installs the Borderlands mod SDK (the Willow1 Mod Manager) for you. Dark Lands switches itself on.
The roll is a body tumble made by the mashup, since Borderlands has no roll animation of its own.
