DOOM Eternal's Horde Mode, played as a Crab Champions run.
You play DOOM Eternal. Crab Champions brings its roguelike: its pickups (perks and weapon mods, with their real names, icons, wording and rarity tiers), its crystals, its shop and its sounds, all read from your own copy of Crab Champions while you play.
What you get
- Pick a loadout first. Before the first wave you choose a Crab Champions weapon mod for the Slayer's guns, then a first perk.
- A pickup the moment a wave ends. Every wave counts: each arena wave, the bonus waves, and each Blitz, Traversal and bonus round. A chest opens, time slows, and you choose one of three pickups (more with the right perks).
- A wave counter that follows the whole mission, bonus waves included.
- Rarity tiers. Common, Epic, Legendary and Greed. Legendary gets silly; Greed gives a lot and takes something back.
- Crystals and a shop. Demons drop crystals as you score. A shop opens every third clear: pickups, Health Rocks, rerolls.
- Your build, one key away. F7 shows every pickup you hold and what it does.
- One run for the whole Horde game. Pickups and crystals carry from mission 1 through mission 3, and the run is saved: Continue Game brings it back.
- Dying costs you the mission. Start a mission over and your run goes back to how it stood when that mission began. A New Game is a new run.
- Crab Champions sounds on top of DOOM Eternal's own audio.
Solo. Keys: F1 to F5 choose a card, F7 opens your build.
What you need
- DOOM Eternal (Steam) with Horde Mode
- Crab Champions (Steam)
Nothing from either game is included. Crab Run changes no game files and puts every setting back when a run or the game ends. DOOM Eternal starts in borderless window mode so the cards can be drawn over it.
