Zombie Carnage is a solo zombie wave-survival gamemode for Garry's Mod, where whatever you shoot comes off.
You spawn on gm_construct with a crowbar, a pistol and an SMG. The zombies come in endless waves.
Fast and relentless: zombies move up to twice their Half-Life 2 speed, attack faster, always know where you are, and hunt you down.
Live dismemberment: shoot an arm and the arm comes off, while the zombie keeps coming at you with half its damage per lost arm. Shoot the legs and they fly off, and the zombie keeps crawling after you as a torso. Headshots pop the head or headcrab, and grenades tear off several limbs at once.
Cinematic look: colour grading, bloom, sun rays, sharpening, film grain, vignette and haze over the map. Motion blur kicks in when you sprint or get hit, blood splatters your screen when you're hurt, blood pools spread under bodies, and you leave bloody footprints.
Easy to find: zombies spawn outdoors on open ground near your height, never on roofs or inside buildings. A zombie that gets stuck out of sight is moved back into play, and the last 3 zombies of each wave glow red through walls.
Endless waves: zombies from wave 1, fast zombies from wave 2, Zombines from wave 3 and poison zombies from wave 4. They have less health than in Half-Life 2, so limbs fly fast. Every wave is bigger.
Loot drops: zombies drop ammo, health, suit batteries, grenades, shotguns and pulse rifles.
Boss waves: every 5th wave brings a Zombine Brute. Every 10th brings The Abomination, a giant poison zombie, with a Brute at its side. Each boss wave drops a supply crate at your feet.
HUD: wave, zombies left, break countdown, boss health bar, kills, limbs severed and your best wave (saved between sessions).
Single player. Needs only Garry's Mod (it uses the Half-Life 2 content that ships with it). Press Play and you're in. MIT licensed.
