BeamTogether adds online play for two to BeamNG.drive. One player hosts, a friend joins, and you share free roam on the same map.
What you get
Play together: one host and one friend per game (2 players).
Their real car, where it really is: your friend's car is a full soft-body BeamNG car with a blue name tag. It moves smoothly and is shown where your friend actually is, not where they were a moment ago. A parked car stays still.
Same car, same state: model, parts and paint, plus damage (bent panels, parts falling off, broken glass and lights), headlights, indicators, hazards, horn and brake lights.
Resets match: reset your car and your friend sees it repaired in the same spot.
Crash into each other: bumps and pile-ups push the other player's car on their screen too.
Switch cars any time: either player can change vehicle and the other sees it.
Shared traffic around both of you: the host's AI traffic drives in both games, with the same cars, colours, damage and lights. When you split up, traffic is kept around both players.
Same map, automatically: the friend loads the host's map, including modded maps. If the friend is missing the host's map mod, the game says which one to install and follows once it is.
In-game menu (Ctrl+J): see your join address, find games on your home network and join with one click, join by address, set your name, or leave and host your own game.
How to play
Press Play. Without a join link you host: pick any map and car in Freeroam as usual.
Your friend presses Join on your game. On the same home network they can also press Ctrl+J in game and click Join.
Drive. Melty connects you without port forwarding.
Good to know
Needs BeamNG.drive 0.39 or newer on both PCs. No other mods or launchers.
If BeamNG shows a warning on its Mods button after a game update, open Mods and enable mods once.
Each PC runs its own physics, so damage matches closely rather than exactly.
