A new altar ritual for Cult of the Lamb, Rite of the d20, powered by your own copy of Baldur's Gate 3.
How it plays
Open the Temple Altar, choose Rituals, and pick Rite of the d20 (at the end of the list).
Your followers gather. Choose one of three spells pulled from your Baldur's Gate 3 install: Bless, Heroism, Sleep, Cure Wounds, Goodberry, Remove Curse or Fireball, each with its real BG3 level and school.
Roll a d20 (+1 per 4 attending followers, up to +5) against 10 + the spell's BG3 level.
The spell's own BG3 data sets how strong it is: Fireball's 8d6 lights a fire of zeal, Cure Wounds' 1d8 heals that many sick followers, Sleep restores rest, Goodberry fills bellies, Bless raises faith, Heroism builds loyalty, Remove Curse lifts dissent.
Natural 20: the blessing is doubled.
Failure: the spell fizzles.
Natural 1: it turns on your cult: rotten berries, nightmares, sickness, a new dissenter, or a Fireball in the temple.
Once per in-game day. Single player.
Both games, really together: the mod reads Baldur's Gate 3's spell and condition data from your own installed game every time Cult of the Lamb starts. No Baldur's Gate 3 files are included; you need both games installed. Melty installs BepInEx and points the mod at your Baldur's Gate 3 folder, so you just press Play.
