Aperture Lifepod

This remix builds on Aperture Lifepod by h4ck3ra1ds, an unofficial Subnautica × Portal 2 mashup featuring Wheatley, Portal 2 voice and animation data, and Aperture salvage.

Portal Gun remix

• The Subnautica Fire Extinguisher is replaced with the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.
• The item keeps the Fire Extinguisher's existing Fabricator recipe and unlock. No extra mod or recipe is needed.
• Primary use places a blue portal. Alternate tool use places an orange portal. Replacing a portal of the same color moves it.
• Portals attach to solid surfaces hit by the aim ray, up to 45 metres away. Walking through a linked portal moves the player to the other portal.
• Portal pairs are not saved between game sessions. The current implementation moves the player; it does not move vehicles or loose objects.

Requirements

• Subnautica with BepInEx 5 (Melty installs BepInEx 5).
• Portal 2 installed on the same PC. WheatleyBuddy reads its models, animations, voice and salvage data from the player's own Portal 2 files; none are included here.

Credit

Original mashup: h4ck3ra1ds. The original uses Portal 2 content from Valve at runtime and was made with AI assistance using universal-modder. This remix adds the Portal Gun plugin and keeps the original credit and license. This is an unofficial fan mod, not affiliated with Unknown Worlds or Valve.
