Demo, version 1.0.2. This is an early playable version of ULTRANAUTICA. Everything below is in and working, but expect rough edges and missing polish. Bug reports and feedback shape what comes next.

I really encourage you guys to try to break the game.
You crash-land on 4546B as V1. Subnautica's ocean is all still there, but you are a machine now: no food, no water, no oxygen. Blood is fuel. Hit and kill what lives here and swim through the blood to heal.
What's in the demo
- Every ULTRAKILL weapon and arm from the first minute: revolvers and coins, shotguns and cores, the Impact Hammer, nailguns and sawblade launchers, railcannons, rocket launchers, plus the Feedbacker, Knuckleblaster and Whiplash.
- V1's movement on land and in water: dash, slide, ground slam, dive slam, wall jumps and water skips.
- The real thing: ULTRAKILL's own models, animations, sounds, music, HUD and effects, read from your copy of ULTRAKILL. Nothing from ULTRAKILL is in this download.
- Style meter and ranks, combat music when the fauna fights back, and ULTRAKILL's results card every time you save manually.
- A pause-menu shop and settings page: spend the P you earn on weapon colours and Radiation Shielding, and set V1's body, keys and survival switches.
- A robot's survival: in Survival and Hardcore, blood fills your hunger too. Below about 300 m the pressure strains V1's frame, so craft Pressure Plating Mk1-Mk3. Fins become Wing Thrusters.
- The ocean bites back: Stalkers hunt metal V1, explosions shatter outcrops, the Whiplash pulls loose items into your inventory and pulls you to rocks, crates and wrecks, and a Feedbacker punch grabs dead fish and Precursor tablets.
- Leviathans fight like bosses: ULTRAKILL's boss bar for the Reaper, Ghost and Sea Dragon, and Reaper bites you can parry (its grab only kills below 30% health).
- ULTRAKILL's cheat menu, with a SUBNAUTICA section and a Spawner Arm that spawns Subnautica's creatures and items.
Single player. Works in Survival, Hardcore and Freedom. (Creative mode is boring)
You need
Subnautica and ULTRAKILL, both installed on this PC. Melty installs BepInEx and the mod and tells the mod where ULTRAKILL is. Press Play and you're V1.
Having trouble?
- Check the main menu: a line under the ULTRANAUTICA logo says "ULTRANAUTICA 1.0.2 loaded" when everything is fine.
- It says ULTRAKILL was not found: set your ULTRAKILL folder (the one with
ULTRAKILL_Data) on the pause menu's ULTRAKILL settings page, then restart the game.
- No ULTRANAUTICA logo at all on Linux / Steam Deck: BepInEx needs this Steam launch option for Subnautica:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%

Doors, lockers, pickups, fabricators and the PDA all work with your weapons out. Putting a tool away (or placing a beacon) brings V1's weapons back. Rebind any key on the ULTRAKILL settings page in the pause menu (or in BepInEx/config/melty.v1on4546b.cfg).
