Be a Roblox character in Minecraft: real R6 avatar, Roblox movement, shift lock, backpack, Robux, an Avatar Shop and a baseplate of Noobs.
Press Play and you are a Roblox character inside Minecraft.
Your Minecraft body is gone: you are a real R6 avatar built from Roblox's own body meshes and smiley face, read straight out of the Roblox on your PC, seen from behind the way Roblox is played — no first person, the camera stays behind you. You move like Roblox too: Roblox's walk speed, its big quick jump with both arms straight up, no fall damage, no sprint, no hunger, no experience, and you step straight up single blocks. You face the way you walk while the camera orbits. Press Shift for shift lock: the camera slides over your shoulder, you face where it looks and strafe.
Minecraft's inventory is gone too. Along the bottom are Roblox's numbered tiles, 1 to 9 and 0. Press Tab and the backpack opens — a translucent panel with your items as tiles, a Search box, and a small Craft corner so bricks still become plastic blocks. E does nothing, as in Roblox.
A quartz portal stands a few steps from spawn. Through it is the baseplate: an endless flat grey world under Roblox's own sun and moon, where Noobs and Guests — the same real Roblox bodies and face — come running. Hit one and it says "ouch" in Roblox's own voice; knock it down and you get the real oof, a handful of plastic bricks, and 10 Robux.
Spend them in the Avatar Shop, Roblox's dark Marketplace with your avatar turning on the right: sixteen of Roblox's classic head shapes — Blockhead, Eggbert, Diamond, Trim, Pea and more, each read from your own Roblox install — and the brick colours. The Noob set is free. Customize (V) dresses you in what you own, saved on your PC and carried into every world.
Everything Roblox here is read live from the Roblox already on your PC: the body meshes and head shapes, the face, the oof and the ouch, the falling sound, the sun and moon, and Roblox's interface font. Nothing is copied or shipped — you bring your own Roblox the same way you bring your own Minecraft.
Single player. Needs Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1 and Roblox installed; Melty sets up the rest. Controls: WASD and mouse, Space to jump, Shift for shift lock, Tab for the backpack, V for Customize.
If the game closes by itself a few seconds after Play, with no crash screen: Minecraft: Java Edition needs a graphics driver that supports OpenGL 3.2, and on a PC without one it cannot open its window at all. That happens before this mashup, or any mod, gets to run, so it is the same with the mashup removed. Roblox still runs on such a PC because Roblox draws with DirectX instead. Install the graphics driver from your card's maker (NVIDIA, AMD or Intel; the one Windows installs by itself is often not enough), then press Play again. Playing over Remote Desktop or in a virtual machine without 3D support fails the same way. When this is the cause, Minecraft's log (logs/latest.log) says "The driver does not appear to support OpenGL".
