You are Thanatos, SMITE's Hand of Death, dropped onto the ring in Halo: Combat Evolved's second mission, "Halo" (a30). Third person, no guns, just his scythe and his real SMITE kit against a30's 170 Covenant.
What's really from each game
Halo (your Master Chief Collection): a30's actual level, lightmaps, scenery, the ring and Threshold in the sky, plus the Grunts, Jackals and Elites. They use Halo's own models, animations, spawn points and plasma/needler sounds. Everything is read from halo1/maps and halo1/sound each time you play.
SMITE (your SMITE install): Thanatos's model, wings and scythe, his animations, 2048px textures, ability icons, sounds and ability text, read on first launch. Ability numbers come straight from SMITE's own data.
Play
RT scythe swings (3-hit chain) · LB Death Scythe (piercing throw that heals) · RB Scent of Death (speed and penetration) · LT Soul Reap (cone that silences the Covenant) · Y Hovering Death: fly up for 5 s, then dive to execute low-health enemies.
Harvester: kills heal you and Elite kills cut your cooldowns. Every ability also costs health, so keep reaping.
Levels 1 to 20 from Covenant kills, ranking up abilities SMITE-style.
SMITE power-ups sit exactly where a30 puts its own pickups: Healing, Mana and Multi Potions, Elixirs of Power and Defense, and red/purple/blue/yellow jungle buffs.
Xbox controller with on-screen button prompts. Keyboard and mouse also work. Press Menu for your kit in SMITE's own words.
Slightly overpowered by design, but Elite squads will still put you down.
