ROUNDS, but every round happens in a whole Terraria world.
You play ROUNDS: its players, guns, cards and best-of-five rounds. But instead of a one-screen arena, the battlefield is a Terraria-sized world built from your own copy of Terraria, complete with its creatures, skies and music.
What's in it
- Terraria-sized battlefield: a random Terraria-style world (small 4200×1200, medium 6400×1800 or large 8400×2400 tiles), or one of your own saved Terraria worlds. Your terrain, caves, houses, furniture and builds become the arena.
- Terraria's real art: every block and background wall is drawn with the textures from your Terraria install, read while you play.
- Terraria creatures: Blue Slimes, Zombies and Demon Eyes roam the surface, Skeletons and Cave Bats lurk underground, and Hellbats swarm the underworld. They're drawn with Terraria's own sprites, chase whoever is closest and hurt on touch. Shoot them, or lure them onto your opponent.
- Terraria's atmosphere: Terraria's sky, mountains and biome backdrops (forest, snow, jungle, desert, Corruption, Crimson) scroll with parallax behind the fight, with the underground, cavern and underworld backdrops deeper down. Terraria's music plays for the zone you're in (Overworld Day, Underground, Jungle, Snow, Desert, Corruption, Underworld and more), straight from your Terraria install.
- Proper Terraria worlds: forest in the middle, snow and jungle on opposite sides, a desert, a Corruption patch with chasms, caves, ores and an underworld.
- Spawn close, fight sprawls: each round drops both players near each other on the surface, and the fight spreads through caves, down shafts and over the hills.
- Bullets break blocks: shots dig into dirt and stone, and explosive cards blast craters. Bricks are tougher. Damage stays for the whole match.
- The camera follows you, and an arrow at the screen edge points to your opponent (with the distance in tiles) while they're off-screen.
- F9 / F10 make the world darker or brighter.
Playing with a friend (1v1)
- On ROUNDS' main menu, pick the battlefield in the TerraROUNDS panel (top left), then press HOST ONLINE.
- Your friend presses Join in Melty, and their game connects to yours automatically. The host's world is used. If it's one of your saved worlds, it's sent to your friend when they join. Creatures and broken blocks stay in sync.
- Both press Jump, pick cards and fight. Everything runs over ROUNDS' own online service, so nobody has to open ports.
You can also play two players on one PC with ROUNDS' own LOCAL button.
