You're Steve, and you just fell into Risk of Rain 2.
Play a whole Risk of Rain 2 run in first person as Minecraft's Steve. Other players see Minecraft's blocky Steve model, wearing the Steve skin from your own Minecraft. Real Minecraft runs alongside the game and draws your hand, held item, hotbar, hearts and XP bar, with Minecraft's own animations and sounds.
How it plays
- You drop in with bare fists.
- Enemies you kill drop real Minecraft items that spin on the ground the way Minecraft drops do:
- swords and axes, from wooden to netherite
- bows from plain up to Power V, plus arrows
- golden apples, TNT and ender pearls
- Find the Enchanted Book of Infinity and every kill drops 2 extra arrows. Your hotbar stays with you through every teleporter for the whole run. Elites drop better gear, bosses always drop something, and the loot gets better every stage you clear.
- 1-9 / scroll wheel switch your hotbar. Left-click attacks with what you hold. Right-click uses it: draw and fire the bow, eat a golden apple, place primed TNT, or throw an ender pearl to teleport.
- Risk of Rain 2's own items and chests still work, so your Minecraft kit stacks with your RoR2 build.
Two loot pools
Pick one in Steve's special slot on the character select:
- Overworld Loot: swords, axes, bows, arrows, the Infinity book, golden apples, TNT and ender pearls.
- Sky Loot: spears, maces, an elytra and firework rockets, plus golden apples and TNT.
- Brace a spear and charge into enemies.
- Smash down with a mace from a height.
- Glide with real elytra physics, boosted by rockets.
What you need
- Risk of Rain 2 and Minecraft: Java Edition.
- Melty installs everything else: BepInEx, a bundled Prism Launcher with Fabric and the mashup's Minecraft mod.
- The first time you play, Prism asks you to sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft, then downloads Minecraft 26.3.
Co-op for up to 4 players: friends join your Risk of Rain 2 lobby through Steam as usual. Each player plays their own Steve with their own Minecraft running alongside, and loot is personal: each player gets their own drops.
Minecraft's textures and sounds come from your own copy of Minecraft while it runs; none of them are shipped.
Built with Claude. Bundles Prism Launcher (GPL-3.0) and Fabric API (Apache-2.0), credited in the download.
