You are Master Chief in No Man's Sky. Spartan Sky reads Halo 3 from your own Halo: The Master Chief Collection every time you press Play, and builds it into No Man's Sky. Nothing from either game is in the download.
What you get
Master Chief is the player. The explorer is replaced by Master Chief's Halo 3 model, armour and gold visor, converted from your MCC and rigged to the No Man's Sky skeleton, so he moves with the game's own animations.
Halo weapons. Multi-Tool modes become the MA5C Assault Rifle, M90 Shotgun, M7 SMG, Plasma Pistol (hold to overcharge), Spartan Laser, Sentinel Beam, Plasma Grenade Launcher, M9 Frag Launcher, Power Drain and M7057 Flamethrower, with magazine size, rate of fire and damage read from Halo 3's weapon data and Halo 3's fire sounds.
Halo shields. Recharge starts 5 seconds after the last hit and refills in 2 seconds (Master Chief's own Halo 3 values), with Halo's shield sounds.
The Covenant. Sentinels become the Covenant: Grunt and Elite combat dialogue, plasma fire, Hunters and Scarabs, Covenant-purple drones, and half of all planets have Covenant squads on the hunt.
Halo music. Halo 3's monks on every loading screen, Halo 3 menu and campaign music for the opening, story moments and milestones, and Halo 3's ambient score while you explore.
Crash-landed Pelican start. A new game opens to Halo 3's music beside your crashed Pelican, in MJOLNIR Armor.
Single player. The mod is only active while you play through Spartan Sky; plain No Man's Sky stays unmodded.
You need
No Man's Sky
Halo: The Master Chief Collection with Halo 3 installed (Steam: right-click MCC > Properties > DLC > tick Halo 3). MCC is never started or changed.
The first Play takes about a minute while Spartan Sky reads Halo 3 and builds the mod; later Plays start right away.
