Say It in Spanish is a speak-to-keep Minecraft challenge, inspired by Say It in Japanese by Andr and rebuilt from scratch for Spanish.
Every new item you get (picked up, crafted, smelted, looted) pops up a quiz: say its Spanish name into your microphone within 10 seconds. Get it right and you keep it, and from then on it's called by its Spanish name in your game. Get it wrong and every copy is deleted.
Locked until learned: you can't eat, place, use, swing or mine with an item until you've said its name.
Mobs too: you can't hurt a mob until you've said its Spanish name.
Your Spanish, from Minecraft's own language options: Español (España), (México), (Argentina), (Chile), (Ecuador), (Uruguay) or (Venezuela), with names straight from the game's own translations. Switch any time with /spanish dialect.
Hear it: after each quiz the name is spoken, by a Spain voice or a Latin American voice (open Piper voices).
Live feedback: a voice level bar, words turning green or red, a syllable guide (cu·bo con a·gua), how to say loanwords ("criper"), ticking over the last 3 seconds, and a stats box.
/spanish hints off hides the Spanish name for a real memory test. /spanish mic picks your microphone, and /spanish say speaks the item you're holding.
Speech recognition runs offline on your PC (Vosk small Spanish model).
