Diablo IV comes to your Dreamlight Valley. You play in your own Valley; the monsters, the swords and Lilith herself are Diablo IV's real models and animations, read from your own installed copy of Diablo IV while the game runs.
What happens
- Goofy finds you. He runs up, frightened, hands you a sword and sends you to the Peaceful Meadow.
- The Meadow is corrupted. The sky darkens, the villagers run for the Plaza, and Diablo IV's monsters come at you: Fallen, skeleton archers, Fallen brutes, and the Butcher as the boss.
- You fight. Swing with R. You have your own health bar, which refills when you rest.
- Loot drops. Magic, Rare and Legendary swords with rolled bonuses. Walk over one to take it; a better one is equipped for you.
- Lilith moves in. Clear the Meadow and she appears there, full size, with a three-step friendship chain. She can call the corruption back whenever you want another fight.
Solo. Your progress is kept in the mod's own file and survives restarts. Your Dreamlight Valley save is not written to.
You need
- Disney Dreamlight Valley (Steam)
- Diablo IV, installed. It does not need to be running, and the mod never touches the Diablo IV program: it only reads files from its folder.
The first time you press Play, the loader prepares itself for your version of the game. That takes a minute or two and needs an internet connection. Later launches are quick.
Known limits in 0.1.0
- Monsters fall over when they die; there is no death animation.
- Skeleton archers have no crossbow in their hands and Fallen carry no swords.
- Your character does not react to being hit.
- Fur and hair on some monsters draw as solid dark shapes.
- No music or sound of its own.
