Play Risk of Rain 2 as Steve, with real Minecraft running underneath.
Minecraft (hidden, through a bundled Prism Launcher) runs Steve's movement, hearts, hunger, inventory, crafting and every block; Risk of Rain 2 shows it all inside its stages and keeps its run going.
- Steve is a survivor of his own, in your own Minecraft skin.
- Creative or survival: switch any time with F3 + F4.
- Fight with Minecraft weapons: swords, axes, bows and enchantments hit Risk of Rain's monsters for real Risk of Rain damage, so money, experience and on-hit items all work. Their attacks cost hearts.
- Risk of Rain items power Steve up: movement, attack and mining speed, extra jumps, healing.
- Minecraft loot drops from every monster you kill; bosses drop diamonds and obsidian.
- Day and night: Minecraft's monsters spawn on the stage at night, animals by day. Iron golems and tamed wolves defend you, and Minecraft's mobs and Risk of Rain's monsters fight each other.
- Dig into the stage itself: the ground opens up block by block, with dirt, stone and ores underneath.
- The Nether: light a portal and the stage stays, but in the Nether's red light, and the Nether creeps over it: patches of netherrack, soul sand and crimson nylium grow across the ground. Digging there turns up netherrack and Nether ores. Your portal stands in the same spot on both sides.
Controls: G opens chests, shrines and the teleporter, R fires your equipment, E is Steve's inventory, Esc is Risk of Rain's menu and O is Minecraft's.
Needs: Risk of Rain 2 and Minecraft: Java Edition. Solo only. The first Play opens Prism Launcher once: sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft, and Prism downloads Minecraft and Java (a few minutes). Later Plays start straight away. No Minecraft or Risk of Rain files are included.
