Risk of Dragons

Start the teleporter and you might hear a roar from Skyrim. About one boss fight in four, a real Skyrim dragon takes the boss slot.

Really from Skyrim: the dragon's model, skeleton and textures, its roars, wing beats, fly-bys and the "Yol!" it shouts before breathing fire, plus its name and health, are all read from your own Skyrim Special Edition install while you play. Nothing from Skyrim is in the download.

The fight

• It circles overhead, then breathes fire that sets you alight.
• It dives at you talons-first in a swoop.
• Its health comes from the Skyrim Dragon's own stats, scaled like any Risk of Rain 2 boss.
• Bring it down for an extra red item on top of the teleporter reward.

Good to know

• Single player.
• Needs Risk of Rain 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition installed (any version). Skyrim doesn't need to be running.
• Skyrim's own animations can't be read, so the dragon's wing beats, neck and tail motion are made in code on its real skeleton.
• Settings (dragon chance, volume) are in BepInEx/config/melty.dragonfall.cfg.
