Play as the real Raiden from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in Minecraft. His model, moves, sounds, effects, HUD and music all load from your own copy of MGR. Nothing from the game is included in the download.
New in 0.4.0: the Warden, as an MGR boss
- A Warden that comes out of the ground near Raiden is a boss fight, or call one anywhere with /rcboss (no cheats needed). Cutscenes, a name card, Rules of Nature following the fight, and a finale where Raiden takes its heart.
- It is a boss: armoured and tanky. Your sword barely bites while its guard is up. Parry its claws, survive its set pieces, break its guard and it goes down on its knees, wide open. It plays you back: feints, grabs out of a combo, a swipe straight back at a flurry, a boom in your face if you stand in Blade Mode in front of it.
- Set pieces, MGR style: Ninja Run up the ground it hurls at you to its head, slide under its bull charge with the blade in its leg, cut its boulder in half in Blade Mode, cut through three sonic booms in a row, the claw clash, caught in its fist and kicking free.
- Perfect parrying: parry as the blow lands (not early) and Raiden counters on his own. Works against every mob.
- No fall damage as Raiden.
What you get
- Press R to become Raiden. Press R again to change back. Your worlds and items stay the same.
- His real combos: every route has its own animation and hitbox.
- Parry: attack an enemy just as it strikes (it glows red) to block the hit and stagger it. Time it on the blow for the perfect parry and the counter.
- Ninja Run: hold Sprint to run faster, vault over blocks, deflect arrows and slash on the move.
- Blade Mode: hold V to slow time, aim the cut with the mouse and click to slice mobs and blocks. Works in the air too, or as a slide out of a Ninja Run.
- Zandatsu: a mob cut in Blade Mode drops a glowing core. Grab it for full health and fuel.
- MGR's HUD: life and fuel gauges, the boss gauge, Combat Log, COMBAT RESULTS with a rank, ALERT and CAUTION, radar, lock-on and AR mode.
- MGR's camera: the game's own camera for each move, pulling back as more enemies join.
- Rules of Nature starts playing when your meter is full mid-fight, and carries the whole boss fight.
- His sword sits in its sheath, he jumps like he does in MGR, and his model is touched up to look like the game.

You need
- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance installed on Steam. The mod finds it on its own (or set
mgrDir in config/revengeancecraft/config.properties).
- Minecraft: Java Edition. The download is a ready-to-play Prism Launcher instance (1.21.4, Fabric).
- Windows. On other systems, point
-Drevengeancecraft.vgmstream at a vgmstream-cli build.
- Single player for now (multiplayer isn't set up yet).
For modders
sheets/*.json hold the design, tools/gen.py turns them into code, and mod/ is the Fabric mod (dev.revengeancecraft.mgr reads MGR's file formats). ./gradlew runAutotest plays every move in a test world and saves screenshots.
