Remix of Portalcraft by JokerFactor.
More portals, more possibilities
Bring the Portal Gun into your Minecraft world. Create multiple blue and orange portal pairs without replacing your old portals. Step through one to reach its partner, even when it is far away.
What you do
- Left click and release: create a blue portal. Right click and release: create an orange portal.
- New portals form pairs while existing pairs keep their links.
- Works in Creative and Survival, including switching modes by command. Portals and their pairings remain when you save and reopen the world.
- Aim at an owned portal and hold either button for 0.7 seconds to destroy it. Minecraft's familiar block-breaking cracks show your progress. Release early to cancel destruction.
- Portals stick to suitable flat, solid walls, floors and ceilings. Black concrete, glass, bedrock and leaves refuse them.
- Nearby pairs offer a live view and the original seamless travel, including momentum, items and mobs.
- Pairs more than 128 blocks apart use direct player teleportation with a solid portal face instead of a live view.
- Destroying one portal closes its partner without disturbing your other pairs.
Getting it
Press Play in Melty, then open a new or existing world in this mashup's separate Minecraft instance. The first time you join a world, the gun appears in your inventory. You can also craft it using iron, an ender eye, redstone and quartz, or type /portalcraft gun. Use /portalcraft clear to remove all your portals.
Good to know
- Single player for now. Multiplayer hosting and joining are not set up or tested.
- Requires Minecraft: Java Edition. The release includes a separate Prism Launcher instance configured for Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric, leaving your normal installation untouched.
- The first start downloads the game files and may take a few minutes. Minecraft ownership and launcher sign-in requirements still apply.
- Immersive Portals may display a graphics-driver warning on some NVIDIA systems.
