Minelock remix

A remix of Minelock by vnl. All the core gameplay is vnl's: play Minecraft as a Deadlock hero (Haze, Seven or Abrams) with their real models, animations, voice lines, guns and four abilities, read from your own Deadlock install, plus Souls, levels and the Deadlock: Midtown world type.

What's different

• Your Deadlock heroes load again. Deadlock's Oct 26 2026 update changed how it stores hero and ability data, and Minelock's built-in Deadlock reader couldn't read it, so the hero select, models, voices and Midtown came up empty. This remix ships the newer official reader (Source2Viewer 20.1), which handles the new format.
• G switches controls. Deadlock controls: an empty hand shoots your hero's gun and Q melees. Minecraft controls: left click breaks blocks and attacks, right click uses, Q drops and pickups go into your hand, so you can mine, build and beat the game normally while keeping your hero and abilities. The corner of the screen shows which is on.
• B opens a Buy menu. Click an ability (or press its key) to unlock or upgrade it. It tells you why when you can't (no unlocks yet, not enough AP). No more Alt combos, though Alt + key still works.

Needs

Minecraft: Java Edition and Deadlock installed on this PC. Press Play once; the first start reads the heroes from Deadlock (about 30 seconds). To beat the Ender Dragon, play a Default world. Midtown is a walled city map with no End portal.

Controls: left click shoot, R reload, Q melee, Z/X/C/V abilities, B buy upgrades, G switch Minecraft/Deadlock controls, H choose hero, F5 see your hero.
