Ki Defense Force

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2's Goku fights through EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5's destructible cities. You play EDF 5's own offline missions as the Wing Diver. EDF's flight becomes Goku's flight and the energy gauge becomes his ki. His moves, attack names and voice come straight from your own copy of Xenoverse 2.

What you get

• Goku's real XV2 melee. The Rush Combo throws Goku's jab, straight punch and spinning kick: his actual Xenoverse 2 animations, transferred onto the Wing Diver's skeleton each time the game starts.
• Melee charges ki. Every strike that lands refills your ki, and XV2's ki-charge sound plays when the gauge is full.
• Kamehameha with Goku's own "Kamehame... HA!" and XV2's beam sounds. It costs a big chunk of ki and flattens what it hits.
• Ki Blast Volley and Spirit Bomb ("Please, give me some of your energy!") join the Wing Diver's arsenal.
• XV2 battle sounds: Goku's English battle voice, plus XV2's punch whooshes, hits and ki blasts.
• EDF 5's cities, giant bugs, kaiju and building destruction stay EDF's own.

Getting started

Choose Offline Mission Mode and pick the Wing Diver. Under Class / Equipment, set Weapon 1 to Rush Combo (Short-Range column) and Weapon 2 to Kamehameha (Mid-Range Pulse column). Mission 5, "Shattered Peace", makes a great first city brawl.

• EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5 (Steam): the game you play
• DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 (Steam): Goku's animations, voice, sounds and skill names are read from your install

Solo only. Nothing from either game is included: everything is built from your own copies.
