Hunter Souls

Work in progress. Hunter Souls is still being built. Some animations and moves are rough, and things will keep changing and improving with updates.

Play the whole of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin as the Hunter from Remnant: From the Ashes.

Choose the Hunter class (in place of the Bandit) and you start with Remnant's kit, built at setup from your own copy of Remnant:

• Hunting Rifle and Repeater Pistol, with Remnant's models, gunshot sounds and crosshair. Rounds fly fast and flat, like Remnant's.
• Scrap Sword for close work.
• The Hunter's coat and outfit, with a coat that moves with his legs.
• The Dragon Heart in place of the Estus Flask, with Remnant's heart-crushing animation.

Remnant's handling:

• Over-the-shoulder aiming. The Hunter stays in view and the gun follows the camera.
• Remnant's aim, fire and bolt rechamber animations, and almost no wind-up before a shot.
• Upright Remnant stances and walks with a gun in hand and while locked on, in place of Dark Souls II's crossbow crouch.
• Sprint toggles with a click of the left stick, and sprinting costs no stamina.
• Guns start two-handed.

A world for a gunslinger:

• Ammo drops from enemies, and merchants sell it.
• Weapons and spells in the world become titanite or ammo.
• Slightly bigger groups of ordinary enemies, for Remnant's pace.
