ULTRAFISHKILL — local preview
This archive is a preview package for BepInEx 5. It contains the plugin and a standalone converter. It hasn't been published, and its loading in ULTRAKILL and the Melty one_click_check still need to be validated.
Title, description, license, and remix have been validated: see MELTY_METADATA.md and LICENSE-MIT.txt.
Planned contents
- ULTRAKILL is the host game.
- The plugin looks for the Steam install of How to Fish (AppID 4001890) in the declared Steam libraries.
- On first launch, the converter reads that install and builds a local cache under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Melty\mods\HowToFishUltrakill\cache.
- The cache is built on the player's computer; no game files are included in this archive.
- The extracted area is scene 2 of How to Fish. The converter finds 32 authentic fish models; the prototype displays 12.
R toggles between ULTRAKILL's V1 mode and fisher mode. In V1, a shot that hits a fish picks it up and increments the counter.
- Planned credits: How to Fish — Dazed Games; ULTRAKILL — Arsi "Hakita" Patala and New Blood Interactive.
Prototype requirements and limitations
- ULTRAKILL with BepInEx 5 and How to Fish must both be installed through Steam.
- V1 mode keeps the host game's controller. Fisher mode uses a first-person view and simple movement controls.
- With the default ULTRAKILL settings,
R may also trigger a reload. The combined behavior needs to be checked in game.
- The package was compiled and the converter was run with a local copy of How to Fish. The plugin hasn't yet been installed in ULTRAKILL or tried in Melty.
