Hero Arena (working title)

A single-player Garry's Mod mashup: 6v6 Control Point matches against bots, mixing Marvel Rivals heroes and Apex Legends legends.

Design (agreed)

• Host (primary): Garry's Mod. Companions: Apex Legends and Marvel Rivals, read from the player's own installed copies.
• Mode: Control Point 6v6, one Apex-style arena map. You are one human on a team of six; every other slot is a bot.
• Single player only. No hosting, joining or multiplayer (changed from the earlier solo-plus-friends design).
• First roster: Iron Man, Storm, Luna Snow (Rivals); Wraith, Bangalore, Lifeline (Apex). Apex R-301 as the shared rifle.

Status

Design sheets plus a first-draft Garry's Mod addon (addon/hero_arena/). UNTESTED: it has never been run in Garry's Mod, and its Lua has not even been syntax-checked (no Lua interpreter was available).

• sheets/ is the source of truth (characters, abilities, systems).
• python3 -I tools/preflight.py . lists unfilled cells and unresolved references. Last run: 39 unfilled cells (all model, sound, icon, effect and map asset paths), 0 broken references.
• python3 -I tools/generate.py . regenerates addon/hero_arena/lua/hero_arena/sh_data.lua from the sheets.
• Addon: hero choice (ha_hero <id>), abilities (ha_ability1, ha_ability2, ha_ultimate), Control Point scoring, bots filling every other slot, score HUD.
• Not done: real models, sounds and map from the Apex/Rivals installs (all *_source cells), Melty recipe, packaging, one_click_check, screenshot.

Open items

1. Confirm Melty offers a Garry's Mod loader (game_info) and check search_mashups for existing similar mashups.
2. Read the installed Apex and Rivals folders to fill the *_source cells. Verify Garry's Mod can actually load them; if not, agree a design change before building.
3. Build and package the addon, test a full solo match against bots, capture a real screenshot, then publish through Melty. The listing must say it is single player (no recipe.multiplayer).
