Grand Sonic Unleashed IV

Sonic Unleashed in GTA IV's Liberty City. Niko is replaced on foot by Sonic, with Unleashed's controls, HUD, models, animations, effects, voices and music, all read from your own copy of Sonic Unleashed (Unleashed Recompiled). Nothing from either game ships with the mod.

Sonic (day)

• Unleashed-style momentum: builds speed while the way is clear, glances off walls, hugs slopes and kerbs, near-instant hard brake (pull the stick back).
• Hop / high jump, homing attack with lock-on cursor, stomp, slide, quick step.
• Boost (X / Shift) with the white-hot glow, light trail and screen shockwave: cars in the way fly off and explode.
• Drift (RT / X key) with its sound, wall run (LT / E), water run.
• Grind rails rising over the streets, dash panels and dash rings.
• Rings everywhere, Unleashed's SPEED / RINGS / RING ENERGY HUD; getting hit scatters your rings.
• Badniks (Spinners, Egg Fighters) patrol the streets.
• Police: wreck cars and the cops come for you; their bullets cost rings, never your life.

Super Sonic

With 50 rings (D-pad up / U): free flight, a boost four times faster, golden aura, radial speed blur and the final-boss theme.

The Werehog

D-pad down / N: night falls. Run on all fours, claw and fist combos with purple trails, air slam; fill the UNLEASH gauge, then RB / V for Unleashed mode (howl, blue flame aura, double speed).

Requirements

• Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, PC 1.2.0.59 (current Steam version)
• Sonic Unleashed on PC through Unleashed Recompiled (your own copy)

The game skips its intro and starts straight into GTA IV (hold Shift at launch for the menus). F1 / Back shows all controls in game. Single player only.
