Play DOOM Eternal's campaign as Goat Simulator's goat. The model, textures and animations (tongue included) come from your own copy of Goat Simulator, and so do the bleats and screams. The goat is built on your PC the first time you press Play.
Each Play asks how you want to play:
Goat in Hell: pure goat
- Left click: headbutt. It is as strong as a blood punch and has no cooldown. It breaks energy shields and hits super-heavy demons twice as hard.
- Right click / Shift: dash, with Goat Simulator's goat screams.
- Double jump: mega-jump.
- Q: grenade.
- No guns. DOOM's normal health and lives.
Goat Slayer: the goat with DOOM's guns
The goat carries DOOM's whole arsenal on its flank, with DOOM's own controls and classic DOOM Eternal combat.
In both modes:
- You play in third person and the goat bleats when it gets hurt.
- F switches between third and first person.
- Saves and key bindings are kept apart from your normal DOOM Eternal.
Known issues
- Locked doors (story): some door triggers only detect a first-person player. Press F, then reload the last checkpoint (or leave the room and come back in), and the door opens.
- Horde mode is not supported (both modes): its first-time tutorial pop-ups ask you to press Tab, which doesn't respond in DOOM's mod sandbox, so you get stuck. It may only work if Goat Eternal's own save already has those pop-ups done (your normal DOOM Eternal save isn't used). On top of that, damaging or killing a bounty demon in Horde often crashes the game, even without the mashup.
- Punchable objects and walls: some that story progress or puzzles need (breakable walls, switches and the like) can be hard to hit in third person. Press F to switch to first person to hit them on the first try.
- Monkey bars and ledge vaults play in first person. The goat holds still during glory kills.
You need: DOOM Eternal and the original Goat Simulator, both on Steam. No game files are included in the download.
