Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2's Gardens & Graveyards and Herbal Assault, played in Minecraft: Java Edition. In Gardens & Graveyards, zombies have to take garden 1, then 2, then 3 before each timer runs out, and plants win by holding one. In Herbal Assault it's the other way round: the plants storm three zombie graveyards and the zombies hold them. Pick the mode on the title screen.
What's in it
30 GW2 fighters. Peashooter, Sunflower, Chomper and Cactus take on the Foot Soldier, Engineer, Scientist and All-Star. Each class also has two elemental variants, each with its own GW2 look and weapon:
Plants: Fire Pea, Ice Pea, Fire Flower, Power Flower, Fire Chomper, Toxic Chomper, Ice Cactus and Power Cactus.
Zombies: Arctic Trooper, Centurion, Welder, Electrician, Chemist, Physicist, Hockey Star and Cricket Star.
Every fighter is the real GW2 model and textures, read from your own copy of Garden Warfare 2 and posed in Minecraft.
All six GW2 heroes, with their GW2 models, weapons, stats and voices:
Rose fires homing Magic Missiles. Goatify turns enemies into GW2's goat for 5 seconds.
Kernel Corn fires his Cob Busters. Butter Barrage throws a marker, and butter pats rain down on it and stun.
Citron fires an Orange Laser that overheats. Ball Form curls him into GW2's orange ball, which bowls zombies over.
Super Brainz has Heroic Fists that lunge at a target, and the Super Ultra Ball.
Captain Deadbeard has the Scallywag Shotgun. Barrel Blast rolls him in a barrel that blows up.
Imp has twin Imp Blasters. Robo-Call puts him in GW2's Z-Mech, with its own health and its Chain Laser; when it's destroyed, Imp hops out.
Four maps.
Main Street: a long suburban street with two rows of houses on each side, parked cars, hedges, fences and lamps.
Snowy Village: a lane winding past cabins, snow forts, spruce trees and a frozen pond.
Moon Base Z (Herbal Assault): domed modules, supply crates, craters and antennas on grey moon dust.
Zomburbia (Herbal Assault): a run-down zombie suburb with boarded-up houses, wrecked cars, dead trees and mud.
Each new match moves to the next map of its mode.
Elements. Fire burns over time, ice slows and then freezes, toxic poisons, and electric arcs to a second enemy. Shots glow in their element's colour, and your HUD shows what's on you.
GW2's weapons with GW2's numbers. Rate of fire, clip, reload, overheat, damage fall-off, projectile speed, drop and splash all come from your install.
One ability per fighter. Chili Bean Bomb, Sunbeam, Goop, Potato Mine, Rocket Jump, Sonic Grenade, Warp and Sprint Tackle, plus the heroes' six.
GW2's voices and sounds. Spawn and knock-out lines, weapon fire, the capture sting and the win fanfare.
Maps you can change. Houses, cabins, domes, hedges, snow forts, gardens and graveyards are all blocks. Each life gives you 32 blocks, a shovel and a pickaxe to build cover or dig through.
Bots fill every empty slot. Play solo against bots (4 vs 4), with friends and bots, or with friends only, up to 8 players. Bots play the variants and heroes too.
Play together through Melty. Every match is open to friends, and a friend's Play puts them straight into your match. No port forwarding.
Controls
Left click fires (with the weapon in hand).
Right click or V uses your ability.
R reloads.
M picks a fighter; the arrows beside a class's name show its variants.

Needs
Minecraft: Java Edition. Melty sets up its own 1.21.1 with Fabric.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2: Deluxe Edition installed (Steam or EA app).
Nothing from GW2 ships with this mashup. On first start it converts the characters, sounds and stats it uses from your install in a few seconds.
It never starts GW2 and never writes to GW2's folder.
