Build an empire in first person, then command it from above.
A development RTS mashup inside Minecraft Java 1.21.1. Choose Britons, Franks, Mongols or Aztecs, play a solo skirmish against AI, or compete as independent civilizations with 2-4 players using Melty's join links.
Explore a flat Black Forest map with a 2,000-block border. Assign real villagers to finite resources, carry loads to storage, place building blueprints, construct and repair your settlement, train troops and research upgrades. Fight in first person or use a lectern inside your Town Center or Castle to open the real-world overhead Commander View. Destroy enemy Town Centers to eliminate civilizations.
Both games are required. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition contributes selected real unit health, attacks, armor, movement, training/costs and age-advancement rules read from each player's own installed game while the mod runs. No AoE game files are included. Units and structures use Minecraft-native appearances, and civilization bonuses and Minecraft-specific systems are mod rules.
Early development build: the full requested RTS feature set and graphical polish are unfinished; naval systems, advanced siege behavior and the complete technology/civilization treatment remain work in progress. AoE II (2013) reading is not supported. Local dedicated/integrated two-client tests passed; current Melty release testing is still pending. Players may choose private, friends or public rooms when hosting; remote joining uses Melty's relay where supported.
