Dharok the Wretched

Deadlock's Abrams becomes Dharok the Wretched, the Barrows brother from Old School RuneScape, in his real OSRS armour.

What you get

• Dharok's real OSRS model: helm, platebody, platelegs, hands and boots read from your own OSRS game files and fitted onto Abrams' skeleton, so he moves with all of Abrams' Deadlock animations. Flat OSRS colours, proper low-poly look.
• Dharok's greataxe strapped across his back, Karil's crossbow in place of Abrams' shotgun (it still fires like his shotgun) and the Tome of water in place of his chained book.
• OSRS sound effects, synthesized from your OSRS files: Dharok's greataxe slash and crush on melee, his attack sound on Shoulder Charge hits and Seismic Impact, OSRS hit grunts when he's hurt and the OSRS death sound.
• "Dharok the Wretched" as the hero name in hero select, the HUD and the kill feed.
• Portraits rendered from his OSRS model for the hero cards (normal, low-health and kill), icons, top bar and minimap, and a DHAROK name logo in OSRS's own Quill font.

What you need

• Deadlock
• Old School RuneScape installed and opened at least once (Steam, Jagex Launcher or RuneLite), so its game data is on your PC. Without it, Abrams stays Abrams and his name tells you what's missing.

How it works

When you press Play, the mashup reads Dharok's items, models, colours, sounds and font from your OSRS install and Abrams' files from your Deadlock install, builds the skin as a Deadlock addon (game/citadel/osrs_dharok), adds it to Deadlock's search paths and starts Deadlock. Nothing from either game is downloaded or shared: everything is made on your PC from your own copies, and it rebuilds only when a game updates.

It's a client-side skin for normal matches: other players see their usual Abrams unless they have the mashup too. Not yet included: OSRS's level-up jingle.
