All 40 Deadlock heroes brawl in A Gentlemen's Dispute: real models and animations, signature abilities, Deadlock items as perk cards.
You play A Gentlemen's Dispute. Deadlock's heroes and shop items come into it from your own Deadlock install. Deadlock doesn't run; it only has to be installed.
What's in it
All 40 Deadlock heroes as outfits. Pick one under Change Outfit. Each hero uses:
When the game knocks a hero over, the body goes limp with the game's own ragdoll physics.
A signature Deadlock ability for every hero, played as one of the game's items:
You get it at the start of every round, and again after the ability's own Deadlock cooldown (halved). The HUD shows the ability's Deadlock name, icon and cooldown, and its Deadlock cast sound plays when you use it.
Deadlock shop items instead of the game's perk cards. Between rounds you pick from 40 items, such as Extended Magazine, Glass Cannon, Bullet Lifesteal, Cheat Death, Ricochet and Superior Cooldown. They show their Deadlock icons and use Deadlock's numbers (for example, Glass Cannon gives +80% damage and +13% damage taken).
Playing together: the same as the base game. Up to 4 players can play on one PC, or up to 8 online through the game's Steam lobbies. Friends join through Steam invites or the game's server list, and everyone in the lobby needs this mashup and Deadlock installed.
First launch: Melty reads your Deadlock files once, which takes about two minutes. After a Deadlock update, the mashup converts again by itself in the background and keeps working from the previous conversion until the new one is ready. Nothing from either game is included in the download.
