Kenshi's great powers, with the minds of Crusader Kings III and the tongue of Bannerlord.
The wasteland is still the wasteland: the same world, factions, towns and people you know. But Holy Lord Phoenix is now Zealous, Paranoid, Arrogant and Callous, and he acts like it. Emperor Tengu is Greedy and Deceitful, Queen Esata is Brave and Just, and every one of them holds opinions, grudges and ambitions taken from CK3's own trait numbers.
Powers that live without you
- Wars, peace and alliances while you play. "WAR: Holy Lord Phoenix the Zealous, ruler of the Holy Nation, declares war on the Anti-Slavers!"
- Calls to arms. Attack a power and its allies march too.
- Old hatreds run deep. The Holy Nation and the Shek rarely make peace; vengeful rulers forgive slowly.
Heralds and courts
- Every power keeps a herald in one of its town bars, from Blister Hill to Heft to Squin.
- CK3 and Bannerlord diplomacy: send gifts, pay tribute, sue for peace, take mercenary contracts, swear fealty, insult a ruler or declare war.
- Your standing climbs and falls through CK3 tiers, from Nemesis to Ally. Greedy rulers charge more, honourable ones refuse tribute from rivals, paranoid ones trust no hired blade.
- Heralds answer in Bannerlord's own words, matched to their ruler's personality.
- Earn a power's friendship and its champion will swear to you and join your squad.
- Swear fealty and your liege's wars become yours.
A living map
- Open the map to see who holds what: every power's land in its colour, with its name.
- Wars redraw it. When a war ends, the stronger power seizes land from the loser and patrols it.
Single player, on vanilla Kenshi: Play turns off your other Kenshi mods (your list is saved as mods.cfg.before-crowns). Start a new game to meet the heralds. Everything is read from your own installed CK3 and Bannerlord each time you press Play, so nothing from the three games is in the download. Live AI diplomacy runs through a small RE_Kenshi plugin. The mashup sets up RE_Kenshi 0.3.5 itself and keeps any copy you already have.
