About
Play Enshrouded with two MARVEL Cosmic Invasion heroes at your side.
Cosmic Shroud runs beside Enshrouded. It draws the heroes over the game and plays their voices, sound effects and fight music straight from your own copy of Cosmic Invasion, and it gives your Enshrouded character a power that matches whichever hero is out.
What you do
Pick two heroes. Commune with a Flame Altar and the team picker opens beside the altar menu. Click any two heroes from your Cosmic Invasion roster.
Fight with one at your side. The hero who is out swings, jumps, dodges and takes hits along with you.
Use their power. Wolverine heals you all the time. Storm pours stamina and mana back. She-Hulk makes your melee hit far harder. Captain America shrugs off a fifth of every hit. Every hero has their own.
Tag with Y. Your other hero jumps in, calls out, and your power changes on the spot.
Fill the cosmic meter, then press U. Your hero unleashes their special and you get a short, strong burst: a heal, a refill, a big damage boost.
Re-team only at Flame Altars. Out in the world you are locked into the team you left with.
Playing together
Up to 6 players. Join each other's Enshrouded world the usual way. Steam friends who are running Cosmic Shroud see each other's heroes and specials, and everyone's fighting helps fill everyone's meter.
Co-op was tested with two copies of the program on one PC. It has not yet been tested between two Steam accounts.
What you need
Enshrouded (Steam)
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion (Steam). Nothing from either game is in the download: the heroes are read from your installed copy while you play.
Cyclops and The Thing appear if you own that Cosmic Invasion DLC.
Good to know
Run Enshrouded in its normal fullscreen or windowed mode so the heroes can show on top.
No game files are changed. Powers last only while Cosmic Shroud is running.
When you join a friend's world, your heroes, tags, meter and specials all work; your stat powers are applied by the host's copy of Cosmic Shroud.
A game update can move the data Cosmic Shroud reads. The heroes still appear, and powers stay off until the mashup is updated.
