The story
Annihilus set out to conquer his universe. Shredder set out to conquer his. Neither planned on the walls between them giving way.
Now the Incursions have begun. Dimension X is bleeding into the Negative Zone, Foot Clan soldiers are marching with the Annihilation Wave, and two tyrants who each wanted everything have made a deal: stop fighting over two dying universes, and rule together over whatever is left when they finish colliding.
The Turtles and their allies fell through the breach with them. Marvel's heroes could use the help.
About
Shredder's Cosmic Incursion is a mashup of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. You play Cosmic Invasion's campaign with both rosters, and Shredder's side of the alliance keeps breaking in.
- Nine new heroes. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, Casey Jones, April O'Neil and Master Splinter, plus Usagi and Karai if you own the Dimension Shellshock DLC. Each fights on a different Cosmic Invasion moveset with their own sprites, voices and thrown weapons. Raphael and Michelangelo can web-swing; Leonardo's heavy hits stun.
- Incursions. About three boss fights in ten are broken into by Bebop, Rocksteady or Rahzar. The Marvel boss is overwritten on screen, Shredder's Revenge boss music takes over, and the invader brings new attacks: grenade rain, Foot Clan fly-by kicks, a black hole, a mutagen surge. Beat it for bonus XP. Shredder himself waits at the final battle.
- Foot Clan in the ranks. Foot soldiers in several colours and kits, Stone Warriors and Mousers stand in for some of the Annihilation Wave's troops.
- Team-ups. Pair heroes who belong together (two Turtles, Casey and Raphael, Splinter and a student, the X-Men, the Guardians...) for a bonus that is always on, and a 10-second power share when you tag your partner in.
- Choose your own difficulty. After every level you pick a power-up. One-stage boosts are safe and small. Lasting powers are stronger, and the strongest carry a price: more Incursions, a slower power share, no backup when you are in trouble.
- Backup. Once per level, when both your heroes are nearly down, a random hero runs in to fight beside you.
- Bounties. The mashup's own missions: repel each invader, beat Venom with Raphael on the team, and more.
What you need
You need to own and have installed both MARVEL Cosmic Invasion and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge on Steam. Nothing from either game is included: the Turtles' art and sound are read from your own copy while you play, and your game files are not changed.
