One camera. One operator. No second takes.
This mashup brings the look and feel of Bodycam into Content Warning. Your team's camera is no longer held in the hand. It's a bodycam clipped to one player's chest.
What changes
- A random operator each dive. When the diving bell lands, the host picks who wears the team's one camera. It films wherever their body faces, so their hands stay free.
- A corner monitor. The operator sees a small live feed of the chest camera, with REC and the film left. Press B to start or stop recording.
- Footage that looks like the real thing. Videos come out with fisheye, film grain, vignette, color fringing, a date/time stamp and a BODY CAM 01 · ID badge.
- The camera keeps rolling on the body. If the operator dies, the camera stays on the corpse and keeps recording. A teammate can take it off the body and becomes the new operator. As in the original game, footage only makes it home if the camera is back in the bell.
- AKM in the shop ($350, Gadgets). Held two-handed. The barrel swings onto whatever you look at, with weight, sway and walking bob. Full-auto, 30-round magazines, reload on R, recoil that climbs your view, no crosshair, and you judge the magazine by feel. Hits stagger monsters, and enough of them put a monster down for good. Friendly fire is on.
- Underbarrel flashlight on F. It works like the game's own flashlights: everyone sees the beam and monsters react to it. Your bodycam finally has something to film in the dark.
- A base dressed for the job. Military-coloured clothes in the wardrobe, a rack with Flecktarn and DPM jackets, original 80s-style posters on the walls (BODYCAM UNIT 01, NO FILM = NO VIEWS, ВСЕ НА СЪЁМКУ!…), plus ammo crates, jerrycans, a field radio, helmets, sandbags and a unit flag around the house and the island. Decoration only: no collisions, no gameplay changes.
- The surface stays vanilla. On the surface the camera is the normal hand-held one, so you can still put it into the extraction machine.

Credits
Mod code, the AK model, the camo patterns, posters and props (all built and drawn in code) and every sound (synthesised in code) are original work, made with AI assistance (Claude). The underbarrel light reuses Content Warning's own flashlight light at runtime. Inspired by Bodycam (Reissad Studio): no Bodycam assets are used. Content Warning by Landfall / Skog. Runs on BepInEx 5, which Melty installs for you.
