ChameleonCraft Remix

A remix of ChameleonCraft by Jackson Kohn (MIT). MECCHA CHAMELEON's hide-and-seek rebuilt inside Minecraft, with the chameleon, poses, shotgun, sounds and real maps read from your own MECCHA CHAMELEON install. No MECCHA or Minecraft assets are included.

New in 0.2.41

• Party lobbies: entering the game opens a lobby menu with CREATE LOBBY and JOIN LOBBY. Choose a lobby name and your in-game name, and whether it is public or private. Everyone moves into a closed lobby room together; up to 10 players can share it.
• Join by code: friends choose JOIN LOBBY, paste the code the owner shares, and enter that lobby. The lobby screen has a copy-code button.
• Your name: the name you type shows on the player board, lobby screen and Minecraft player list. Change it with L > Change my name.
• The settings table: a sign says GAME SETTINGS and points down to the settings table. The owner right-clicks the table to set hiding time, seeking time, auto-whistle interval, points per catch, survival points and hunter shots, then starts the round there. There is no start button on the lobby screen.
• Public or private: a public lobby shares its address with Melty so the mashup page can show it; a private lobby keeps the code to the people you give it to.
• Includes 0.2.40: all 19 MECCHA base maps, the shotgun attached to the chameleon's hand, unlimited C whistles, the player board with points and auto-whistle timers, and round settings.

The game

• Always-visible chameleon in third person, MECCHA's 35 poses on a two-page wheel (R), and paint mode (B) with colour wheel, exact block-face texture picking, metal/glow/erase finishes and undo.
• One random hunter with the original MECCHA shotgun; hiders use cobwebs, lava, water, snowballs and a wooden sword. Damage slows and can briefly stun the hunter.
• Hunters have a health bar; shotgun impacts burst into coloured paint and reveal nearby hidden chameleons.
• The host can also open map controls with M: save your own arena, or pick a real MECCHA base map. Blocks and chests reset between rounds.
• Friends join through Melty's relay or with the lobby code; no port forwarding. Everyone needs this same remix and their own copies of Minecraft and MECCHA CHAMELEON.
