Pull out a skateboard in Minecraft: pushes, charged ollies, manuals and grinds, with skate.'s own world list read from your install.
A skateboard you pull out anywhere in Minecraft, with skate.'s handling, and skate.'s own world list read out of your own copy of the game.
You are in Minecraft. It is a normal survival world, and nothing about it changes except that you can pull a skateboard out of your inventory whenever you want. The board is skate.-style: you push with it, you carve with it, you charge a pop and ollie, you manual and you grind ledges, stairs and rails, and tricks chain into a combo you bank by landing clean.
skate. is in it too, read from your own install. When Melty starts the mashup it hands the mod your copy of skate.'s folder. BoardCraft reads skate.'s real world list out of Data/Win32/levels/game and its bundle table, checks that Skate.exe is really there, and shows what it found in the corner of your screen. The spots you mark in your world are named after those real skate. worlds, so your park carries skate.'s own map with it. Nothing from skate. is copied into this release: every player reads their own files.
W to push, A/D to carve.Space, then let go for a charged ollie. Tap it in the air next to a ledge or a rail while holding Shift to grind.Shift while rolling holds a manual. Space while grinding pops you out.The HUD bottom-left shows your speed, the combo you are building and your total; the spot you are grinding shows above it.
skate.'s music, wheel sounds and Vee's voice sit inside EA's encrypted .cas chunk store (Data/Win32/configurations/layout), so they cannot be read while the game is not running. BoardCraft does not ship or fake them: the sounds here are its own. Everything else skate. brings is real and read from your copy.
