Beast Within

Kyle Crane's beast lives inside your Knox County survivor.

How it plays

• Take the Beast Within trait in character creation.
• Melee hits and kills fill your Rage bar.
• With a full bar, press K to unleash Beast Mode for 15–30 seconds: every melee hit knocks zombies down and hits much harder, bites are shrugged off and don't infect you, your wounds heal (more with every kill), and your stamina never runs out.
• The burst opens with a roar that floors every zombie around you, and it carries far enough to draw more of the dead.
• When the beast settles you're exhausted, so pick your moment.
• Kills level up your Beast skill (0–5): longer bursts, stronger healing, harder hits, a wider roar and faster Rage.

Really from Dying Light: The Beast The Fury activation, Kyle Crane's fury screams and lines, the Fury-ending sounds and The Beast's Fury combat music are read from your own Dying Light: The Beast install the first time you press Play. Nothing from The Beast ships with this download.

Needs: Project Zomboid 42.21+ (single player) and Dying Light: The Beast on Steam for the sounds and music. Without The Beast, Beast Mode still plays but is silent, and says so in game.
