About
Escape the Backrooms' Level 0 and its creatures inside Garry's Mod.
What you get
gm_brs_level0 – a Level 0 maze built from Escape the Backrooms' own wallpaper, carpet, ceiling tiles and
fluorescent lamps, with its real Level 0 hum, distant coughs and knocks, and lights that flicker.
Three hunting creatures in the NPC tab (category Escape the Backrooms), with their real models, animations
and sounds:
Bacteria (Level 0's own entity) – wanders, then chases with its chase music when it sees you.
Hound – pants while it roams, howls when it spots you, then runs you down.
Smiler – only moves while you are not looking at it, then lunges.
Level 0 kit in the spawn menu (Spawnlists → Escape the Backrooms): walls, pillar, floor, ceiling tile, ceiling
lamp and skirting as physics props, and the Level 0 materials in the Material tool. Build your own Backrooms.
Alone or with friends – every Play starts a Garry's Mod game that up to 8 players can join. Friends join you from
the Steam friends list (Join Game); Garry's Mod connects through Steam, so nobody needs to forward ports.
Each friend needs Garry's Mod, Escape the Backrooms and this mashup.
How Escape the Backrooms gets in
Nothing from Escape the Backrooms is included in this download. On your first Play, brs-convert finds your own
Steam copy of Escape the Backrooms, reads the Level 0 textures, sounds and creature models from it, and converts them
for Garry's Mod (about a minute, once) into garrysmod/addons/backrooms_sandbox_content. If Escape the Backrooms is not
installed, Garry's Mod still starts and tells you so; install it and press Play again.
