A full Age of Empires II skirmish in a Minecraft world: build a town, advance through the ages and conquer the AI.
Age of Empires II, played out in Minecraft. Look down on a Minecraft battlefield from AoE2's slanted RTS camera and run a real skirmish against an AI empire. Every unit, building, icon and cursor is drawn from your own copy of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
A proper start. You begin with a Town Center, three villagers, a scout and a few resources, with the rest of the map hidden under fog of war. Train villagers, put them on berries, sheep, the treeline and the gold, and build Houses before you run out of room.
A living economy. Villagers walk to their work, fill up, carry it to the nearest Town Center, Mill, Lumber Camp or Mining Camp, and move on to the next tree or mine when one runs out. Trees fall, mines shrink and vanish, and farms are real wheat that reseeds itself.
Grow and advance. 18 buildings, from Houses to Castles, plus walls, gates and towers. Advance through the Wood, Stone, Iron and Diamond Ages, research 35 technologies at the Blacksmith, camps and Town Center, and watch your town change look as you go.
Armies that counter each other. Militia, Spearmen, Archers, Skirmishers, Scouts, Knights and Battering Rams, with upgrades and AoE2's bonus damage. Formations, attack-move, stand ground, garrisons and arrows that can miss.
An enemy that plays the game. The Red Empire gathers, builds, ages up and attacks in waves by the same rules you play by. Wipe it out to win, then play again on a new map or the same one.
Plays like an RTS. Drag-select, double-click, control groups, AoE2's grid hotkeys, rally points, production queues, a clickable minimap and alerts you can jump to. Night mob raids are an optional extra.
