Valheim's survival in real Minecraft. The five Forsaken come to your Minecraft world with their real
Valheim models, animations, sounds and music, converted on your PC from your own copy of Valheim.
What you get
- A new world that starts at the Sacrificial Stones, Valheim's start: a stone for each Forsaken around the
spawn. Hang a boss's trophy on its stone to take its Forsaken power; an unlit stone gives a Vegvisir map to
that boss's altar.
- The five Forsaken bosses: Eikthyr, The Elder, Bonemass, Moder and Yagluth, each with its Valheim attacks
(Eikthyr's antlers, charge and thunder stomp; the Elder's stomp, root volley and summoned roots; Bonemass's
punches, poison cloud and summoned dead; Moder's bite, claws, ice volley and frost breath; Yagluth's fire
beam, meteors and nova), boss bar, Valheim boss music and its own damage weaknesses (Bonemass fears blunt).
- Summoning altars generated in each boss's biome (meadows, dark forests, swamps, peaks, savanna and
badlands), each with a column of light you can see from far away and a prompt when you walk up, summoned
with Valheim's offerings: deer trophies, ancient seeds, withered bones, Moder's eggs from mountain nests,
and fuling totems from pillagers.
- Bosses that fight like Valheim's: they move at Valheim's walking and running speeds, blend smoothly
between their animations, and bring their effects: Eikthyr's lightning strikes and crackling antlers,
Bonemass's ooze, Moder's frost, Yagluth's fire.
- 23 Valheim creatures roaming beside Minecraft's mobs, with their models, animations, sounds, attacks and
drops: boars, deer and necks in meadows; greydwarfs (brutes, shamans), trolls and greylings in dark forests;
draugr, skeletons, blobs, leeches and wraiths in swamps; wolves, drakes, fenrings and stone golems on the
peaks; fulings, deathsquitos and lox in savannas and badlands. They spawn by Valheim's own spawn tables (day
or night, group sizes, more after each boss falls), and every one can drop its Valheim trophy.
- Valheim's sky and light: Valheim's own soft cloud decks (converted from your Valheim) drift overhead
instead of Minecraft's blocky clouds, under a soft glowing sun; each biome gets Valheim's fog, sky, sunrise
and daylight colours and its weather moods (meadows' clear light, the Black Forest's blue mist, the swamp's
green gloom, mountain snow, plains heat), changing through the day and in rain, with a Valheim colour grade
(soft bloom, warm light, cool shadows); a boss turns the sky to its own storm while it fights.
- 26 Valheim weapons to craft next to Minecraft gear, from the flint spear to Frostner and the Blackmetal
atgeir, each tier unlocked by the previous boss's drop. Minecraft weapons hurt the bosses too.
- A guide to it all: a ValCraft advancement tab (L) walks from the Sacrificial Stones to Yagluth (where
each offering drops, how to find each altar, what each kill unlocks); Valheim recipes appear in the recipe
book once you hold an ingredient; every Valheim item's tooltip says where it comes from; the stones' Vegvisir
map comes with the distance and direction to the altar.
- Forsaken powers on a key (R): Valheim's 5-minute powers with their 20-minute cooldown.
- Valheim's atmosphere: its soundtrack by biome and its ambience (birds, wind, rain, caves, ocean).
- Play together: open your world to LAN and friends join over the internet (up to 8 players), no port
forwarding. Each player converts their own Valheim.
Requirements
- Minecraft: Java Edition (a Microsoft account that owns it) and Valheim (Steam, PC).
- Comes with everything else: a portable Prism Launcher set up with Minecraft 26.3, Fabric, Fabric API, e4mc
and the ValCraft mod, and the Valheim converter with its own Python.
First start
Prism Launcher asks you to sign in with your Microsoft account once, then downloads Minecraft. ValCraft then
converts your Valheim (about a minute, shown on the title screen) and opens your world.
Settings
config/valcraft.properties in the instance: sky=0.85 sets how strongly Valheim's sky replaces Minecraft's
(0 = Minecraft's own sky, 1 = all Valheim).
How it works
Nothing of Valheim is shipped. The converter reads your Valheim install and writes a private resource pack
(models with their animations, textures, item icons, sounds and music) into this Minecraft instance only.
The design lives in sheets/ (JSON, one row per boss, attack, weapon, recipe, altar...), tools/preflight.py
checks every cell and cross-reference, and tools/gen_code.py generates the mod's data and constants from them.
